Collinson Fencing - Close Boarded Garden Fencing Specialists
Collinson Fencing have supplied and erected close boarded fencing in many different locations all over the UK for many years and have the experience to complete your new boundary fencing to your exact specification. Close Boarded fencing is available in heights ranging from 900mm to over 2m if required.
What is Close Boarded Fencing?
Often confused with close boarded panel fencing because it is manufactured using the same materials. The main difference is that close boarded panels are panels that are prefabricated and bought to site and attached to timber posts or slid into concrete posts whereas Close Boarded fencing is delivered to site piece small and assembled on site. The main advantage of this is that panels have to be stepped when installed on a gradient but close boarded fencing can be installed to follow the ground level much easier. The second advantage is that the centres of the posts are generally installed at 3m whereas with panel fencing is a standard 1.8m. This means you save on the amount of posts required and labour as fewer holes need to be excavated.
Concrete posts or Timber posts
As with panel fencing the main contenders are concrete and timber posts. As the timber posts are the same as those mentioned on the panel page the decision should come down the aesthetics rather than longevity. Collinson Fencing can install both concrete and timber posts and both will stand the test of time.
